Question

G'day I got my CTEK XS7000 Battery charger, thanks very much. Certainly did the job, battery is as good as new. The battery I was charging was my auxiliary battery which I disconnected and removed from the vehicile to give it a good charge. My question is this - can I charge this battery or for that matter my car battery without disconnecting the auxiliary battery. The vehicle is fitted with a dual battery isolator. If so how?

Answer

Hi John
This is an excellent question.
There is no need to disconnect the batteries from the car. If you connect the CTEK XS7000 to the start battery it will charge this battery without any possibility of damaging any of the sensitive electronic in the car or overcharging the battery if the Voltage Sensitive Relay is fitted the relay will close and charge the second battery when the start battery is charged, then when both batteries are charged it will enter the final stages and maintain both batteries for maximum charge and maximum life
